Ok, so I'm incorrigible. And I'm completely disgusted with myself. Turns out this exercise was no different from the millions of other times I've tried to get myself back in shape...an overdose of initial enthusiasm, followed by total lethargy in the days to follow.
Sometimes I really don't get myself. How is it that someone who's such an ardent believer in the concept of physical activity finds it so goddamn hard to complete 30 mins of moderate exercise 3-4 times a week? Somehow, it doesn't seem right that a person can be this undisciplined!
Anyways, its back to square one now. All it took was a weekend ride to Belum, which meant breaking my schedule for 3 days, for the lethargy to set in. I've not moved one goddamn muscle in the days since, and suddenly find I'm 3 weeks closer to race day and in worse shape than ever.
Well...I'll start over again. Try and get back on track, starting tomorrow. Lets see how long I can sustain myself this time around.
